Wheels Size

    I'm after some new alloys for my 06 beetle 17 or 18. What's the best offset to use I don't want them stuck out as I would like to lower when I can talk my wife into it. Wheels first then lowering I'm on 16" bbs et 42 of a golf and there's to much gap around the tyre but they sit well in the arch I think, I've seen some with a et 35 will these be ok?

    Got some new wheels 17" wish they were 18 now there on, I need to get her lowered then it will look better

    Thanks got a good deal on them off a guy on eBay they shud of been 600 in halfords I got them for 300 all still in the boxes
