Well the new project is here thank you Jack for a nice smooth transaction and the project V5 is ours, nice drive back from London to sunny (yea right) Mousehole in Cornwall....
Well first thing is first these stickers have to go, we shall probably remove the tinting as well as we are trying to go retro with this project, its a blank canvass other than it has air ride fitted.
Well these were cheap at the time so may stick with them as they were on the short list anyway, sent them off to be refurbished silver, silver, silver ..... Can I have them in Subaru Gold please! Wolfsberg centre caps (had to grind the inner wheel protector to clear the air ride) that or spacers.
The bodywork and paint was always a bit tired and the project was for a retro bug. We are booked in for a respray we were looking into plasti-dipping but I'm not sure, bit old school so paint it is! We had chosen Saab Sepia-Krystal which is quite a dark metallic brown but doing some more research turned this up! Not ours but I think the colour is very close but lighter...... Anywho dash is out ready for colour-coding too
Ok so wobbling on the colour been looking a BMW Marrakesh Brown B09 looks stunning but must admit not to all tastes!
Brown is the new black I like the weird rootbeer browns you get. Tint of red in them It will look amazing mate
Like this. That front bumper, is that V5 only with the extra lights in it? Sorry I'm new to beetles, had my plethora of mk3 Golfs and hunting the rare stuff for them was bad enough..
And with the wheels and front plate on.... think i might need to lose the wrap headlights and spray them instead the wrap is already lifting......
