Yup :D I left John with a list of Robbie instructions of what to do and what not to do (I think I may have scared him a little lol) and a couple hrs later I came back to a new car! :D Well not really a new car, but you know what I mean :D

Wooooooooooooooosh! :D

He was very well behaved for John - which is weird cos normally he's naughty for people. But since John removed his brain, I think he thought it was best to behave for him incase he didn't put it back! lol

He must have felt secure he was in good hands, I think you'll find him very well behaved after I reprogrammed his brain :)

I've been strongly talked out of one of those, I also know now about all the bull**** bhp figures from the tuning world, Peeps such as REVO and Jabba etc claiming figures from their dyno's which are so unbelieveable its untrue, had a good lesson in bhp fugures this afternoon and the only way my car runs the figures revo are talking is to up the transmission loss to 25%, an accurate dyno like the one i used claimed my car to have 14.8% transmission loss hence my power is not as i expected, After data logging the map is running to perfection and can't be faulted in any way. Seems the bull**** stops when the flag drops. You know your stuff John, please tell the tuning world to stop making up bhp figures to sell their products. I've got issues with REVO and want their software removing, so you have a task in hand mate.

Yeah a GT28 is fine if you're flat out all the time but round town etc they are a PITA due to lag etc.

With the bull**** power figures I know all about it, used to work for several larger tuners and the **** they get you to tell customers is shocking, I've seen 'custom' rolling road tunes that never even visited the rolling road and was just a stage one along with a printed out dyno sheet from another car!!! Trouble is there is no regulation in the industry. Power figures have so many outside affecting factors that you can never give a 100% figure, it will always change slightly, such is the nature of the beast.

I wish I could change the bull**** they all say but it's all sales and marketing and we all know salesmen are full of ****

I am a moderator on a forum for tuners www.checksumm.com but I hardly post on there much as you can imagine how much pissing up walls goes on in there....

Your datalogging, did you get a copy of it all??? :)

What did they log? And what power did it make in the end?

With the true transmission power loss of 14% it made 240bhp, with the dreamers guide of 25% transmission loss it made 276bhp, dunno how that worked as its more than 10% extra. But i did see other logs of Cupra R's and TT's 225 both running Revo and they were making 230bhp so it's not all bad,

on a FWD drive car you'll see 12-15% transmission loss, on a 4WD you'll see maybe 22-25%, but it depends on the 4WD system also. Rolling Roads are in general by design never going to be accurate due to so many things. The only true way to measure power is on an engine dyno where you can control all temperature variants including engine oil and coolant temperature. Interesting to note the 'other' cars measured the same/similar power was one a 2WD and the other a 4WD......

One way of getting an indicated transmission loss is measuring rundown, although this isn't 100% accurate for sure.
