Hey guys. Just signin' in from Texas. One of my friends shot me this link. he was randomly searching google and found y'all.

Anyway, My name is Sam, I am 20, I live in Conroe Tx, and I drive a Snap Orange Special Edition 2002 Turbo Gas Beetle. Its got the black and orange leather racing seats. all that jazz. I have a cold air kit on it, and as of right now thats it.

I did just paint the rims black myself. Heres the pic of that. and after that I have a few random older pictures of my car around Abilene Tx. My old hometown.

anyway, hit me up if your in the area or what not.

And Here is my NEW project for the next few Years...

a 1973 beetle that I plan on hacking up. fenderless. chopped top (maybe convertible.) and oh yeah, a 383 mopar up front. I have the bug, and the engine/tranny, But alas, I have no time to do this. But I am working on it slowly but surely. I have the car cleaned out good (6 50 gallon cans full of crap later) and I plan on starting the chassis build up soon. it will obviously have to be a full tuber.

anyway on to the one picture.

Well Howdy! What a gorgeous bug absolutely loving those wheels. Did they come as standard on the beetle? So many questions - what cold air feed kit are you running as I've got one on mine and how do you get on with heat soak in the engine out there in the wild wild west

One of our members just moved out to America and we're trying to get him to get a new bug now he's moved over there. Do you go on newbeetle.org in the US as I am also a member on there :)

Ray, I will do my best with progress shots.

Charlie, geez, where to start.

first off thanks for the compliments on the bug. Its nice to not have to deal with the "why do you drive a girl car" comments for once :-P

Yes they came with the special edition. they only made 5000 (kind of a big number.. but whatever) of the snap orange beetles.

I have a cheapy eBay brand. haha, it works amazingly though. No mass air flow problems. sounds great, the blow off valve is VERY notable now.

As far as the wild west goes. I took the "carpet" out from under the hood. and that helped a lot. other then that It has served me good.

I was at one point a member over there. but the forum kinda seemed stale, so I think I posted once or twice. then quite. I think my screen name was the same as here though. not sure.

As far as the American New beetle goes. Are there any big differences? I know that state side you can not get 6 speeds (annoying) ...

Yeah I drive a Colour Concept so limited edition of 200 they built in 5 colours - has the 2 tone leather like yours i lurve it and have only had him a year. I know that you guys in the US are well lucky and get the Turbo S model which we simply don't get over here and your bugs are soo much cheaper than ours plus your petrol is WAY cheaper than our horrendous fuel at the moment...oh and your steering wheels are on the wrong side

Welcome to Evvo! :D My Bug started off life in Houston and moved over to the UK in 1999 (no idea why!), so it's nice to see some pics of the sort of area where he 'grew up' for a year.

Loving your Bug - I'd love a Snap Orange one, i think they're great! Looks like you've got bit plans for the Oldie too - ace!

Hi Sam welcome to EVVO land :vwwelcome:

Hey, thanks! I am curious, what type of RC car is your little bug? I am a HUGE RC nut, and I have been looking for one to paint snap orange... paint some rims for it. haha ya know, the works. Anyway, any info would be awesome, thanks.

And thanks to everyone else for the welcome.
