Shadow, my 1.9Tdi vert (2004)

Hi all !

I thought I introduced myself some time ago, but apparantly that thread is gone, or I haven't looked good enough, but anyway, let's start all over

My name is Tommy, 25years young, and I live in Belgium

I drive a 2004 black convertible with black leather and black top.
It is a 1.9Tdi, tuned to 144bhp and 308Nm

Shadow (so he is called) drives on 18' A8-wheels, and is lowered 4cm.
He has the so called american tail lights (white/red instead of orange/red), adapted white foglight, luggage carrier (custom made and black coated), aftermarket xenon lights, parking sensors in the back ficed to the licence plate, leather heated seats, airco, foglights, vdo dayton navigation, nokia mobile phone carkit, cd changer in armrest, etc....

We moved forum software so your post may be stuck in the abyss that is the "lost post room" :laughing: I love your bug and you would not believe how many people here in the UK would quite possibly mug you in a dark alley for your boot rack as they are soooo rare here its untrue.

Any plans concerning mods?

No, I don't think there will be any more mods this year. I just got the rack some weeks ago after a long search, and for the moment, I am quite happy with the look.

Any of you people going to the International New Beetle Meeting in Switzerland?

when is that show out of interest? Some of us this year are going over to Wolfsburg in June and stopping at Bad Camberg for the Old Timers VW show. If we get on ok with our first eurotrip this year then we may venture further afield next year.

It will be a huge event, as various New beetle Clubs participate (french, belgian, dutch, german, spanish, italian, swiss, ....)

it would be great if also the english club is represented ;-)

It's the first time this is organized, so I don't know for next year !

I am sure the turn out will be huge, I expect at least 150-200 New Beetles :)
