Bug acting weird

Drove the bug about 100 yards from home yeserday & it began to splutter with the ESP light flashing. I drove it locally for about 2 miles & it appeared to do this again about 3 or 4 times ?

When the problem was happening it felt like it was grinding/clanking around the front wheels, I've checked around all 4 wheels & everything appears normal.

Drove the car again today & it seems fine ? The pads/discs are appear in good condition. Maybe the ABS is playing up ?

What on earth was/is wrong with it ?

Any ideas ?

HI MATE YOU WILL PROBLY FIND THAT YOU HAVE A FAULTY ABS PUMP OR SOMTHING LIKE THAT PULL ABS FUSE OUT AND THEN TRY IT DOWN THE RD .BE CAREFULL THOUGH
