Right am going to change the back box on my cab - but unsure.
The current one sits far too low, and hits alot of things.
Suggestions? I was thinking of having a hidden one with twin pipes just poking out, like the MK4 Golf diesels. Keep my smooth look going.
Suggestions very welcome.
I won't be doing OE Bugster's style as they've done it already and the cozza's round my area will definatley pull me for it, ain't running a plate as it is and don't wanna get anymore attention. Plus I don't want soot stained paintwork LOL.

OE weren't the first (and won't be the last) to poke a pipe through the light outlets :P
I'd stay hidden though, or cut a hole in the floor pan and whack it up through the rear seat area up into the open air, great when the roof is down, a bit limiting when it is up ;D

Yeah Neil - that'll do my leather the world of good. I'd do it if I was gonna top myself, but nah.
Defo hidden then. But louder. Still with twin pipes.

Hidden and loud has a much bigger impact that a big bean can or even a modest exhaust with a big noise. Keep it stealth :)
Neil
p.s. mine of course has to be hidden anything stright out the back would make the soot problem even worse - damm diesels!

I like your current exhaust, looks good and not any way knob like but hidden and noise is great, a mate has a Mk1 cortina with a x-flow motors, twin carbs etc.. really noisy monster but hidden exhaust people don't know where the noise is coming from!
A little bit showing would be good - have you though about bringing it out in front of the rear wheels?
Or having twin pipes but having it exit from the rear at each side again hidden and turned down but if you could see the tips it would give it some balance?

i like it hidden thats how id wana go on mine wen i get around to it but the only things that holds me back on the idea is when you can hear a after market back box but cant see it then it usally means theres a hole in it somewhere, if ya get me
