I think her water pump has given up yet again. Had a brand new one fitted about 2 years ago when it decided to 'explode' and chuck cooling water all over the engine, cam belt etc and do the best part of 600 squids worth of damage and it's packed up yet again. It shouldn't have gone so soon should it???!!

She is stuck in the drive at the moment because I refuse to drive her anywhere cos if it pops again it will cost me heaps to fix things that the coolant wrecks. I think its the pump again anyway.....the coolant bottle looks empty and that's what happened last time (no coolant, then loads of coolant backed up in the bottle and then everything went pop and there was a pool under Bugsy).

Oh I'm so far from being happy this morning. Got in my dads car to drive it to work and had to go fill it with petrol cos he had left it so low, got work and my security pass wouldn't work so it's all go today. Now gotta suss how I can get Bugsy towed into the garage.........

:'(

Just wanted to share that with you all!!! Thanks for listening x

What's the symptoms? And how many miles since the last water pump?

Probably only 15,000 if that. The high temp engine light came on, I flipped the bonnet and no coolant in the pot. I've had that happend before and drove it to the garage straight away where it then busta seal from high pressure and trashed a lot of equipment in the engine bay.

Think dad is towing her in this afternoon so I'll probably know what kind of money damage has gone on by the end of tomorrow. Just hope it isn't too much cos got my hols in two weeks.

Are water pumps guarenteed in any way?? It should not have bust already??

It might just be a burst/loose pipe. I guess the work should be guaranteed, or the part, but to what degree I'm not sure. If it has gone again, make sure they put a METAL one in to stop it happening again.
