Air induction

Charlie's bug has blown it's turbo pipe off due to the presure being to great from the standard air box :-/ So after having a chat with local VW Guru at Midland VW were going down the induction route.

Right open air filters dont work in the engine bay of the 1.8T Beetle they just suck in hot air from around the engine which makes the engine slugish so we are looking into other options at the moment.

These include the Jetex Airforce and other simular systems like the BMC carbon dynamic airbox I'll let you guys know how we get on :)

Oh and we got some figures for Charlies Bug this week it's running 170bhp and it's not been remapped yet :D

The bug is going in this Thursday for the new induction kit after a good chat with Jody at Midland VW we've gone for the Pipercross Viper that is specifically made for the 1.8T beetle engine
