Remap on MK5 Golf

This is for the Golf owners on here can someone (Damian or Rob) give the benefits from haveing a 2.0 GT TDI Golf remapped?

:-/ dont know if this will help you ? my old 1.9gt tdi (150bhp std) bora was chipped with a tuning box plug and play box ;D, 150 to 190 ish bhp , 50mpg all day long if you didn't have a heavy right foot :) ran out of legs @ 138 mph on way to paris (french rd's are ace) and 15.99 qtr @ 89mph at santa pod (beat a 944 porsche ;D) so i would say do it :) asap. like i said my bora was old model but i think the remapping will do the same to your new golf :) p.s my bora was nicked from outside my house on a sunday afternoon never to be seen again >:( i loved that car :'(

oh OK...I've just got back from Liverpool - OK so I drove like a granny ( 70 mph with the occasional blact higher ) but I averaged 56.3mpg over 424 miles - that gave me a theoretical range of 695 from my tankful - not too bad :)

As you know from driving mine, Chris, it is really really smooth power - so smooth that you'd swear it hadn't been done - no-one ever need know. No more smoke / soot than normal.

The max torque on mine is 366nM at under 2400rpm - max power is 181 bhp at 4100rpm - which is lower revs than the standard power ( mine came out with 153 bhp at 4269rpm ).

I have no idea but thats because mine a company car. My employer knows but i dunno whether the premium increased or not

Got mine re-mapped again on Friday at Chippeduk and my insurance hasnt changed at all.... ;) What they dont know wont hurt I say! ;D

Better for people to check for themself i reckon.
Tuning is never going to be cut and dry as markymark will confirm but with a genuine customer you cant go wrong, if there is a problem "genuine" customers will understand fully and not bitch and moan and give you the oppertunity to correct faults or problems.

i would that post on the other forum went abit off track whats the cost of the chip as i might get it done to my altea 2.0tdi first then the beetle when the misses has past the test.

the altea is a company car will it show on the service bits as its a leased car
