sure ash has done it. u have a number of places u can mount -

1) under dash
2) on dash centre in a pod
3) on a pod attached to the A-pillar
4) in a custom door pod
5) just spotted this on .org and love it:

I did it and had a custom made pod on the dash. I made it myself. Will put some pics up to show you. Mine are VDO gauges

I also have some gauges for sale that were imported from Singapore. They have not been fitted. For sale at £50. There are 3 gauges for sale. Volts, Water temp and boost. Still Boxed.

In terms of fitting. my advice is get an expert to do it. You will also need a "nobuzz" T connector to reduce the pulse from the vacuum hose. Have a look at the new south performance website. Awesome GTI sell the part. Its only £2-£3 so not expensive.

Hmmmmmm, I'd like a pod, quite like the air vent but don't want to mess them about. Might have a play with the top dash panel as I have a spare.

Although, seeing the posts above looks like it may be a job for Jabba.... Hell, I can't even wire my amp ;D

All it requires is a dremel multi
Top of your dash
and a pod housing from RGM styling.
