I had a K&N filter in Jack when i bought him - still got it downstairs actually as I dont need it now I run the Induction Kit. Best thing to do is to speak to a company who specialise in VWs why not call Jetex or give one of the guys we use Jodi at Midland VW (they are in Cannock if you look em up in yellow pages) a call and he will advise you. Never had any probs with mine though

Anyone know how much induction kits are or if they cause any problems - i.e do they wreck sensors/engines/economy???
Had one on my FTO and it sounded groovy.

hmmm yet another ebay wonderful auction ::)
no offence but at £47 u aren't even gonna get 1bhp increase. Fitting an induction kit on a 1.8T and in particular VW beetles is a really hard job. Couple of reasons, the hose needs to be fed right down into the front of the bumber behind the lights and because of the lack of space under the bonnet you are gonna have to move a lot hoses around. You should only get this done by a specialist tuning company. There are reasons why people like Pipercross, Jetex etc make specific kits that retail for more money. I know the kit i've got on Jack and looking at your piccie there's not enough hosing to make a blind bit of difference. I dont think the chrome will last long either as the majority of kits are carbon based to cope with heat soak whereas chrome kits are just gonna retain the heat and make your car run like a slug in glue.
Speak to companies out there who know there stuff. Ebay is great for some stuff but absolutely lousy for others - jsut dont want u to get caught out dude
