Can anyone help me?

I have a 2000 2.0 beetle and the check emissions light comes on in the dashboard every 4 weeks. I have had both lamda probes changed to vw ones (not the universal rubbish), new cat, all pipes checked for perishing. The diagnositic keeps saying there is something wrong with probe 2!! This is driving me insane.....

hiya and welcome to the forum. I am going to move your post to the technical section as it may prove a helpful answer to someone else.

I've not had this problem with my bug but I think someone else had something similar on the forum. have u ascertained what probe 2 is?

Is that an orange engine with a bolt though it?

Mine keeps coming on for about a week and then going off for a couple of days...

And I seem to be drinking petrol like crazy!!

Ah... I took it as the "drive your car really hard and try to blow the fault out of the engine" light.....

Maybe not the best idea!!!!! :D

Poor Billy Bug isnt well then........ :'(

;D that's what I did when it came on in Robbie! ;D

I'd just done a momentus stall and I think it confused him. Luckily it's not been on since.

If anyones in the Brizzle area I have Vagcom so I can diagnose your car FOC :)

(Or you can buy a Vagcom cable for £15 from Ebay and do it yourself! :) )
