Anyone heard of/used Asso exhausts... Seen them in a recent VW Driver - never heard of them before... I think they do a dual exit which I quite fancy.... Don't ant anything toooo loud. Just a nice burble/grunt...

i think you should read up on that on the net first my mate who works at powerflow says you get good sound they look the part but suffer from power loss and low back presher so do some revision b4 you blow a load of your money on it :)

Reason I've taken note of teh Asso systems is they're pretty cheap - so I can run it, and bin it if it falls apart or I hate it.
Slight loss of power I'm not too fussed about - most people would never miss the odd BHP. I can spare a couple from my 230 ish :D
besides, got my Fireblade when I want to go 'proper' fast.....
Appreciate the feedback tho chap - I'll see if I get some info on them.
Your mate do 'cash' jobs ;)

I think i saw a couple of bugs running twin exits at the Reading meet - anyone know who's? Of if they are any good?
Anyone got pics of em?
Couple of other random questions:-
Aftermarket pipes that drop below the bumper - are they 'too' low?
Do the 2.0 and 1.8t share the same exhaust/back box? Most of those I found covers them both??
Cheers again peeps.

I would imagine so if it was lowered - I scraped my standard exhaust coming over those stupid double speed bumps into the car park at Reading.

sebring twin exit on my 1.8t bug. its lowered but very rarely touches anything, just on a huge speedbump now and then

Perfect...... How much ;D
So, my shopping list grows.... Springs. Exhaust. New discs/pads. Boost gauge and pod (not sure where to start on this one). Sub. Front components.

jeez who ratttled your cage! ;) no dents on the zorst and it gives more power, i've seen the before and after rolling road figures. and less flower more power? thats my plan for the car, meaner and faster. there is more to my bug than just an exhaust. the exhaust will get changed in ths sring anway, gonna go for a q look hidden milltek instead

;D ;Dthe stealers today ;D ;D
like i said b4 i do like the look of the twins but all the dyno runs ive seen with cars not all vw it shows no or little gain unless the car had two to start with
if you have two outs outa 1 back box then its difrent
:)

Either way as I said before - the odd BHP - really make difference? Nope..... Not on real roads.
And as before, I like a 'nippy' beetle but it's never going rip up the tarmac - hence I have a bike for that :D
I just fancy a twin exit jobby, although, I've no firm decision as yet....

Yeah I wrote of a montego for a chap once..... That hurt...... Luckily it wasn't a more solid car ;D
I quite like centre exits but I don't want to 'mod' the car/bumper too much. Centre exits look good if you want a modified car but damage resale values more.
