Due to more motoring convictions and this causing unreasonable insurance quotes i've decided its best to part company with the Beetle.

She's a LHD 1999 2.0 with a kick up the arse.

Lowered on £1000 worth of H&R coilovers and Anti Rollbars. 70mm front and 50mm rear
Mark 4 Golf hubs with TT calipers and 312mm grooved disks and red stuff pads too.

17inch TSW Catalunya wheels with really good Dunlop 215 45 17 tyres. *Standard alloys included too.

Custom 3inch stainless one off exhaust with hi flow catalyst.

And a 1.8 Audi TT 225 Turbo engine fitted. *Remapped to 275bhp at Revo and with Forge Motorsport silicone induction hose, all other air system pipes are Forge aswell. *Front Mount Intercooler and Neuspeed Induction Kit. *Forge Motorsport Re cirq valve recently fitted too. *Pushing 300bhp maybe just over then!

The car has not had any mods other than these, *no chrome bits inside or out, *the car has a few scuffs and stone chips which are to be expected for a car of this age. *I'm asking £9000 for the car as it is or £9500 with a new clutch fitted as its slipping in 3rd a bit. *The car will also have 12 months MOT. * Chris 07976 248306

I've noticed second hand 1.6 bugs are selling for over 7k, V5's over 9, this is worth every penny, i'd rather someone bought it off here :afrosmiley :afrosmiley

11 points results in ridiculous insurance. Basically if the car don't sell then its gonna be locked away only to come out when i'm old and haggered and insurance will be cheap. The price ain't gonna come down and its gonna have 1 try on ebay! You could get away with being shady on engine size on the old bugs, so i'd probably consider a swap for another Split Screen Bus.

Don't take this the wrong way dude, but why would someone pay £9k for your car when you can get a proper official, newer and RHD 1.8T for a lot less money, you can pick up 51/02 plates for around the £7k mark now, my 03 15,000 mile V5 SE was only worth 8.5K and that had a lot more on it for the money IMHO :)

Don't get me wrong your cars very nice, and the engine conversion is cool and puts out more power than you can get out a normal 1.8T bug, but I doubt anyone would want to pay that much for an early lefty.

Bill Bahambra had his Orange bug for sale for ages and that wasn't much more than yours, and a lot more customised too. I imagine if you advertised for around £6K with the new clutch in someone would bite yer hand off for it. :)

I've found a 59 bug deep in the south staffs countryside, 1 owner from new and rot free except for the bottom of the decklid. Just working on the old farmer to get rid of it. I've swapped the newbie with my dads Lupo. So i don't need to sell this anymore. My dad is gonna be keeping it warm till my license is clean! :flameon
