Ok, working on my old Bug/other peoples old Bugs then getting into Robbie tends to make his interior grubby.... and being cream makes the situation even worse!

Mechanics don't make it any easier either, cos even tho they seem to use covers on the seats, they still seem to come back filthy!

Anyway, I needed to clean my seats yesterday, so I thought I'd take some pics and do a 'how to' for you guys :)

This is what I started with:

Eugh!!!! Oil and dirt on cream isn't good... anyway, I started off by hoovering to get the surface dirt off:

Then used an interior brush to flick out more dirt. You'd be suprised to see how much dust comes off when you do this, and it actually helps reduce the bigger stains and will completly get rid of some!

That brings a lot more dirt to the surface, so hoover again:

The best product I have found for my cream seats is Autoglym interior cleaner:

Don't worry if it looks sorse when damp - mine always does this:

Use a damp cloth to gently rub the dirt out of the seats - remember to keep rinsing the cloth otherwise you'll just rub the dirt in somewhere else.

Leave the seats to dry over night if possible, longer in the winter. They should dry in about 2hrs in the summer, but if you need the car quicker, turn the engine on and turn the heaters to hot till it drys.

This is what mine looked like:

Not perfect, but a lot better than we started with! On a less oily interior, or a darker one, they would have come up a treat :)

Hope this helps.
