Found these pics of Rach`s old 1303 the other day, sold it about 4 years ago to fund a "sensible" car.
It went to live in Cornwall somewhere, hopefully it`s still alive and kicking

That`s my Mini in one of its incarnations, since then it`s lost the bonnets stripes and had new bonnet (x2), grille, wings, a-panels, front panels, sills, engine ::)
The bug was in great nick, we replaced a front wing and the barrells but other than that it was very nice. It was very low mileage as well, 60k IIRC.
We should have kept it really but at the time we just had my Mini and the Bug neither of which were very practical for our commute to work :'(

It looked like a nice '03! I had a Campaign Edition one , back in 1988 , and I still have a soft spot for the 1303 , even tho its not the best liked Bug ever made!

good for racing tho - shove a 2.8 T4 out back, 10" rear rims, dropped, widened wings, CF as far as the eye can see ;)

Speaking of Type 4 power , on the way from one pub to another last nite , spotted a guy tinkering with a Dutch registered fastback , part of a convoy of classics doing a tour of Scotland , he said it was fitted with a type 4 power unit and pushed out around 200 bhp it looked , and sounded , mint!! All the other cars were austin healeys , aston martins , oh , and one solitary green Mk2 Escort! lol
