Well I've had some work done to the goof so here's our mini photo shoot.

Goof spec now:

MK5 Golf 2.0 GT TDi, Steel Grey, 19" RS6, Leather, Cruise, Front Centre Armrest, Jetex Filter, Stub Aerial, R32 Rear Lights, Old Skool Gear Knob, Full Votex kit, lowered on eibach's

liking the goof a lot,esp the rims,,always had a soft spot for them,
the rear lights look ace on your red bug charlie,just needs the fog and reverse light doing now ;)

thats the plan before UD Dan - was gonna change the brake light for the LED and then spray it cos the lights are brighter through it :)

Looking hot chaps. That Golf so needs a de badged grill and the bonnet smoothed, then it's done IMO! ;)

really a big problem to do the windows on MK5s Craig no one will touch them as they are such a horrendous job. New headunit went into today really sweet double din kenwood system. What show we gonna see u first?

what stubby aerial is that on there?

no one willing to touch the windows for tinting? around my area, Hampshire(basingstoke/hook/camberley) kinda area, there are about 5 companies willing to do it, but i just dont have the finance :(

the aerials off an S2000 think there about £15 from Honda :) they fit perfectly no overhang :)

Oh and we have had a couple of people say they can tint the windows but they want like £500 [smiley=fork_off.gif]

its something to do with access to rear side windows to do it properly people talk about taking door cards to pieces to get a proper finish on it :o

i've been quoted £320 and the place that quoted me that was Surrey Car Audio/Tints, they did my sound system as well and they have excellent customer service. i;ve taken my sound system back to them like 3 or four times just to get them to adjust the settings on the amps to get a wee bit more bass...didnt charge me anything. their tinting skills are well up to scratch too.

most places tinting windows remove windows from the car dont they? i understand that the mkv golf's rear windows could be a problem, but they would have to take the rear cards out anyway to get the tint right down in the window....

Black and Red always a sick combination.

Could i ask where you got the rear lights from. Or is it a coating that needs to be applied ?

no mate there all steal grey it's just the light playing on the fleck that makes it look different colours :)

Where are you based Ryan?

Will is coming to Ultimate Dubs on the 11th March if you could make it we could get together after the show for a photo shoot as there are some really cool buildings around Telford to use as backdrops [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

What youu having done btw?

well chris, i was planning on jumping in will's car to go up to Ultimate Dubs......

well i had an accident before xmas where i went into the back of an Alfa....did my bonnet and n/s headlight, front panel and bit of a mashed bumper, not quite as bad as it seems...

repairs getting done is a debadged grille and smoothed bumper...
the rest of the car is standard lol

hoping to get the wheels (standard 16" 5 spoke mugellos) polished up......and maybe lowered by march time...

based about 20mins from will

gonna do the sides later on in the year....prob near xmas time....sister will be using my car during the time i am gonna be at uni, so need to make sure that the doors are protected to some degree in the mean time..

yeah i will be in Will's car....nice and luxury hehehe

The photoshoot sounds like a plan! I can see the line-up now! Black to Grey to Silver - fading from one to another! Anyone know of a white Mk5 just to top it off nicely?!?!

should be difficult finding a white mkv.....i;ve only ever seen 2.....eeek! one of which was a GTI
