I will have a set of 40mm H&Rs coming up soon. Not sure if they'd take the weight of a cab tho. They take the weight of a diesel, just squishes them a bit more to make them lower ;)

Thanks gals, but the Tin Top Springs are different apparently to Cabs....or so some web sites state, maybe someone could clarify? :-?

IIRC the cab springs are different due to the extra weight and weight distribution - I found a bit about the different spring rates on the Eibach website a while ago.
Eibach only list 25mm springs for the cab as well

edit - bit of info here .... http://www.eibach.de/frame.inc.php

What do you make of the quality Lucy, I know years ago Jamex seemed to have a decent reputation but not heard anyone mention them here before.

They look fine to me, but I don't have anything to compare them to, to be honest.

Here's a pic tho:

The Jamex ones are the budget ones. If your going coilovers spend the doe and get a proper set with adjustable dampening, and helper springs. It'll be worth it.

They will fit man. Whoever said they don't is talking chat. My coilovers are intended for hard tops- the only difference is the poundage of the spring.

The eibach pro-street coilover kit I had fitted to my cyber cab was for the Golf 1.8t Mk 4, but is not TUV approved for the cab.

Jabba fitted it and set it up a treat though, having warned me about the lack of TUV approval.

Handled fantastic, with a sensible compliant ride and loads of height adjustability, Quality kit, just order for the golf 1.8t mkiv :)
