I got my radiator from GSF - www.gsfcarparts.com at a very good price. They also do headlights etc for the older ones - not sure if they do the facelift or not tho. Worth asking tho :)

Thanks everyone for the response, it sounds heavy but only had car returned on monday and with all the parts being bolt on, it's ready for rebuilding. All the damaged parts have been stippped and there is no need for any jigging which was a bonus as with the airbags being deployed i thought it would need a quick pull.

A july 2006 tdi with pleanty of extra's sadly no leather for £6800.00 with only 4124 miles on the clock is a very cheap car. estimate to repair £1500 - £2000

Car still had all the sales info on the back seat as it appears to have been a demo for VW Edinburgh sales tag £17995.00, i bet a salesman or woman got their knuckles rapped.

Will post some pictures soon of before and after. I would have liked to put a fifferent bumper on it but there appears to be a shortage of suppliers for the facelift model. if anyone knows anywhere let us know.

2006 model, isn't that the new shape ? I have an offside headlight you can have in mint condition but the front lense is missing, it blew off as the glue failed. I think you may have landed yourself in a whole heap of a nightmare if this is the new model. Parts for the old bodyshape are few and far between but parts for the new model are like ghost pee ;)

Your right it is the facelift model and i am finding it somewhat difficult to obtain parts. All the radiator assembly is the same as a Mk 4 golf as is the passenger airbag.

The bonnet, o/s wing and bumper are approx £700 from dealer but a friend has put me onto a man who orders direct from VW Germany just as a U.K. dealer so he reckons to be able to shave of 20-30%.

How much for headlight and where can i collect?

The headlights aren't interchangeable from pre and post facelift models.
