Hi, I bought this CD boot changer by panasonic (model cx-dp88n) for £50 from someone who had used it in a '99 Tdi New Beetle & has also been used in a VW Polo. However I just can't get it working in my 2000 New Beetle and although the head unit recognised it it won't play the CDs (get messages of either CD error or Play Track 1 but it never does) I haven't got a clue about these things so it might be something very simple but I really haven't got the time or inclination to mess around with it.
Comes in original box with all the cables needed including the really expensive long connection cable + mounting brackets & manuel.
Ideally I'd like to recuperate as much as possible of what I paid for it but I'm open to sensible offers (the big lead alone costs over £20)

I've also got this is a brand new Panasonic 8 disc CD changer cartridge part no. RM-RYQ0206A as I thought this might have solved the problem but it hasn't so that's up for grabs as well it will fit with all Panasonic 8 disc changers (these cartridges normally retail at £49.95) Say yours for £10 including postage?
