GTI International 2007 @ Bruntingthorpe

Heya all

Had an invite from the guys at GTI International to attend the Club Display (Show n Shine ) etc at GTI International Bruntingthorpe. This show was really good last year I believe a few people from here attended and did some track time :)

The event takes place over the weekend of June 16th and 17th and the best club stand will win a trophy as well as £150 for their club. Each show entry will get a special 20 yr Anniversary Sticker and there is a really good mix of show n shine, trade stands and race track time.

So who would be interested in being on the evvo club stand at GTI International. All are welcome, stock, modifed, clean and dirty just make sure you can commit to one of the dates and I will organise your pass.

Camping details to be announced but realistically i dont see why everyone can't pile round to mine and Chris's for the weekend and we all go in a convoy - how does this sound. We have 3 spare rooms and plenty of space downstairs as well as a nice garden for anyone wanting to erect a tent :)

Shane has advised us to book tickets before hand at http://www.gtiinternational.co.uk/ so that we are not queing unecessarily when we arrive and also so that we get the best rate possible and also that we can zoom straight into the club plot on the Saturday am :)

Can people please confirm when they book their tickets - there is a prize this year for the best club stands guys and it would be really good to see evvo well represented at this one plus its the big show before the evvo Wolfsburg tour 8-)

Cool i dont know it by name but i know where the holly Bush garden center is,(Sister lives down that road) cant be far from there! The only Shell gargage i can think of is the one on the A5 island by mcdonalds, halfords, Motorhouse etc

In my infinate wisdom, I have sent off for tickets for the whole weekend.
But, I am doing the London to brigton on the 17th (sun) doh!
So the plan is to come up on the fri still but leave on the sat night for an early start sun. hum diddy dum!
really don't want to miss this as volksfest will be my only full w/end :(

Hey Danny thats wicked I must do mine after pay day :) there's loads of hotels nearby on the website you could look at or camp there as there are good facilities on site :)

Mark advantage of pre booking is its cheaper than the on the day prices....

cheers guys :) the reason they do it this was is that last year so many clubs were like "oh yeah we have 30 cars coming" so GTI organised large plots for certain clubs only to have just 3 cars turn up for the stand and screw up the space arrangements :laughing:

Work called this morning, after knowing I have just finished a night shift :mad:, TELLING me that i must work the Friday night cos they don't have anyone else to cover the job.

I said b*ll*x cos I've got plans but they have crossed my palm with gold and offered double money (@ overtime rate!) plus a day in lieu.
Now thats big bucks and another days leave that i could do with.:confused:

So it's looking like I is not coming to GTi Int this year and may have a ticket for the Sat going begging (if they ever turn up). It's only fair that I give this one away as I gave away my Sun ticket away too. :(

from what i've read anyone can go down the the 1/4 if you pre book it its cheaper but as far as i know you can turn up and if theres space you can run...thats how i read it anyway.

As I've not taken the buglet to see any of it's VW friends for a while I thought I may take her to the show this weekend.... Are there any group convoys or plans??? It'll only be sad little me as a loner in a bug so I'd rather meet up with peeps before hand....
