I know that bit, but it also says that every NB has one and they restrict on the airflow. I thought with all the talk of air circulation recently it may been of interest to you. Think the English might call it something else though.

If you remove it you want to be replacing the pipewprk as a cold air feed is needed after otherwise just removing it what you gain in loss of restriction you will lose with loss of a cold air feed.
