Rules, rules, rules!
To keep this forum clean, usable, and helpful to others a set of rules have been put together that we ask all forum members to comply to:
Registration
Registration Required to Post. You will only be able to view topics until you register. Once you register, you will be able to post as soon as your account is activated.
Valid E-mail Required
When you register, you must provide a valid e-mail address. You will receive an e-mail at that e-mail address with a link for you to click on to verify your e-mail address. You will not be able to post or edit your profile until you verify your e-mail address.
Golden Rules
Please post in the right forum! This helps people who are interested in your post find it. If you post in the wrong forum, we may move, edit or delete your post. If you have a topic that doesn't fit into any of the forums, post in the "evvo lounge" which is the general discussion forum.
Use a Descriptive Topic Subject - This will help others find what they want to read.
No Trolling & Unnecessary Post Bumping - Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people and don't make random comments on a post that are in no way related to the current topic.
Posts that go off topic - We will endevour to edit any off topic posts in a thread to bring it back on topic however this may not always be possible and therefore the thread may be delete.
If this happens you will not necesarily receive notification as the the reason.
No Personal Attacks - Criticise ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws.
Racism - We will not tolerate racist or anti-semetic remarks on this website. Nor will we toletate Religous, Bigatory or Sectarianism in any way.
No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material. This includes suggestive images, graphics, and comments. We would like this site to remain a family oriented site. Do not post links to warez, warez sites or sites with pornographic or objectionable content.
Only link to sites that are for family viewing only.
Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission.
Do not use objectionable language - Any attempt to circumvent the swear filter shall result in an instant ban If you get banned for this you will be remove for an initial 24hours. If the actions are repeated you will be removed permanently and your i.p address banned.
Politics, Religion and controvertial subjects. Remember, everyone has a different viewpoint and yours is just as valid as the next person's. Please keep your discussions civil. Not everyone is going to agree with you or be converted to your point of view. No throwing chairs, no pulling hair, no personal attacks, etc. This is a place for discussions, not fights. We will edit or delete your posts if necessary.
No Spamming - No commercial posts or flooding the forum with useless content.
Message content - You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages.
No Cap Locks - Please do not post messages with the subject or post all in capital letters, or your message will be edited or deleted. Words all in capitals are not only annoying but are read 50% slower than normal writing. Plus, it is considered YELLING by internet users who have been around for awhile.
Post bumping - Please do not 'bump' posts with random or irrelevant comments or with smilies etc.
Pictures and smilies - please only post pictures related to the thread and within the size of 640x480 within posts, please also do not reply to posts with smillie only replies. Also refrain from using off-site smillies if possible as this is bandwidth piracy which is unfair on the original owner/hosting company.
If you violate any of these rules you may be issued with a warning and it will be noted on your account. Should you acquire 3 warnings then your account will be suspended.
Should a user constantly be breaching the forum rules then we may consider a total ban for that account.
Posting of pornographic images or links will result in an instant ban.
If you are banned for any reason DO NOT create a new account to try to circumvent the ban. If you are found to be doing this then you may be banned from the forum for good.
Private Messenger - Please try and keep your Inbox available to recieve PM's and please refrain from FAO's asking people to clear their inbox on the forum. Please keep PMs clean and refrain from using them as a private way to insult or attack an individual. Although we cannot read your PMs we can monitor traffic.
Signatures, Avatars and Image posts - Signatures may contain a link to your personal site or sites that maybe of use to other members. Signatures are expected to follow the same guidelines as posts. Signature images should not exceed 75k in size.
Images in posts
Posted images should be no wider than 800 pixels and ideally no taller than 600 pixels. Please use the Image Attachment feature to cut down on site load time and bandwidth.
Advertising - Company Adverts Only
NOTE: Companies looking to post dverts must send details to the mailto:'admin@evvo.co.uk' address and they will be contacted by a Moderator should they be deemed appropriate.
General rules for adverts - All adverts must display a price,any without will be removed without warning. When placing an advert please try to include the following. Your name, location, and contact details. (The amount of personal detail you include is up to you)
Only adverts for vehicles or vehicle parts allowed. Any other adverts will be removed without explaination. This is not a jumble sale or car boot - use ebay for goods you want to sell.
Always delete the item once it's been sold
Pictures in adverts: Standard forum image size rules apply. But please only a maximum of 2 images per advert.
eBay links are allowed. .. but for vehicles and vehicle parts only
Swapshop / Freebie Zone, Here you can swap VAG Related items and also advertise VAG stuff for FREE that you just want to get rid off to a good home.
No forum discussions as to whether its worth the price or not etc in any other section of the forum. Any posts to that effect will be removed
NO Trade Advertising
This forum is not free advertising for traders. We will remove any post we deem to be Trade advertising unless you have permission from the evvo.co.uk commitee for advertising.
Enforcement of Rules
If you are found breaking any of the rules you may have your posts deleted, edited or moved (as appropriate). In addition, your account may be deleted or suspended if the violation is serious enough or repeated after being warned.
If you find a post that breaks any of these rules, please contact us immediately by sending private message so we can take appropriate action.
Amendment of Rules
evvo.co.uk Committee reserves the right to revise these rules if and when it is deemed necessary. All such modifications take full force and effect immediately thereafter.
