Hi folks

I've just bought a new bug. It's my second one. The first was a red 2001 2.0L bug that was an Irish import. Now after a Mini Cooper and a polo I've got a Bug again 8-)

This time I have just bought an 04/53 V5 in Black with leather with 18000 miles on it.

It's a black V5 Sport Edition. Funny thing is I think I got a deal. With 18000 miles, an 04/53 reg car seemed cheap at £9995. It's in lovely condition and I was so sorry to let the 1st bug go, I couldn't believe my luck when I found this one up here.

Can you remember what the original number plate was for the car? As P500 BUG is now on a silver cab.

Hi

I bought the car from new and got the number plate from DVLA for £250 so I never saw the original number I'm afraid.

A local dealer was importing cars at the time because the pound was very strong and a new bug for £10,000 was a heck of a deal then. The down side was no centre arm rest or air-con but the dealer stuck a new set of Toora 17inch alloys on with really expensive tyres.

I wish I could have that number for £250 now ::)
