I happen to think the factory cd/radio in the cabriolet is quite impressive. The base is solid but I think it could be introduced by adding an extra sub in the boot space to give it a bit more kick. Does anyone know if this is feasible?

i agree that the factory fitted stuff seems pretty good compared to the usual toss you are provided with - i am down at an ICE place shortly for some bits and pieces do u want me to ask the question?

I think were going down the stealth box route with Charlie's bug means there's still space in the boot with a sub *[smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Depends what drivers you go down the route of. You could always use the Focal 5" sub driver and install it in the usual panels, team it up with a decent set of components and amp and you'd have a fantastic set-up with an empty boot!!!!

I've got an infinity basslink which is the dogs danglies if you want to just upgrade the stock system. It has a built in amp and can be adjusted from up front. Think they are still available. Just need a yellow plug for the back of the stock head unit to give you the phone sockets. Don't take up too much room either. I'm ditching my spare wheel and putting it in there

I've got a 1400W 12'' sub in the boot of my cab, although it's rattles the rear shelf, and takes up most of the boot! If you don't want to use up all the space, I'd recommend good quality components, a better headunit, and amp them all.

Bose generally do a good job in most of the cars when they are brought in (Honda, VAG etc.)

I'm not sure which box I ticked for the Touareg (I always end up changing stuff anyway) but that still standard after 6 months (a record!) because it is superb. The Infinity system in the Grand Voyager was always good as well, fully active (10 amps and 10 drivers!!!!) Generally the standard is getting better.

The plans for the bug system are coming together and this summer will see changes....................
