Sounds goooooooood

just got to finish fiddling with the time correction, crossover etc, put the neons back in and velcro them down all done for now :)

8-) nice one more iced bugs is always a good thing alot of peeps dont look at nb's but they do when the tunes are pumping 8-).anyway reg your set up i would have to hear it , but i would fade the speakers out on the rear (1-10 set at 5) for better sound stage in the front, set the mids to 0 so the vocals sound more real and not (eckoy ?) like they do if ya turn mids up,and set your tweeters to + 5 out of 10,centre your gain on the amp and dont put bass boast on if you have it as it only works on low vol and i'm shaw you wont play it low ;D, turn all the settings to 0 and work your way up 1 at a time, that way you can hear all the good and bad sounds and set it right. top tip play at vol when setting and try to get hold of a m jackson cd (original) as they cost a packet to produce and sound fab for vocals, bass the lot ,hope this helps you, :)craig.

i kinda get what u mean :)

the x-over settings i have are front/rear/sub *-12db-0 and then the hz and curves

also i have the +15/-15 front/back/sides - i remember u sd about perhaps +1/+2/+3 to the fronts

as for time correction, i have now done that - sounds heaps better - such a difference :)

i tried the media expander stuff but didnt like it as it quietened the vocals/tune and kept the sub blastin :(

also i have angled the adjustable rear speaker centres towards me :)

8-)sounds good ,bit :o that you can hear the rear speakers that much as more up front will give better sound stage and you shouldn't hear the rears ? only bass from rear of my motor and if you do put rear speakers on my sub just makes the sound s##t ?,that alpine unit is tops but too many settings for me, you need to be a teckno wiz to work it ;D looks good and it has got good ratings but give me a good old nakamichi anyday. :)

go out and buy ,michael jacksons-invincible album brill for setting up your ice, unbreakable and break of dawn tracks will test your system ,the sound of his voice should stay clear and realistic and not sound harsh this cd will show where your system is lacking (comps) for bass try DR DRE 2001 you will need good control from your amp and a clean signal to blast the tunes without distortion, you will soon hear if it sounds good or not using these tracks and then if you set it so it sounds good playing the above it will sound good playing anything :)let me know how ya get on :).

Need a big pair of lugs like me ;D what did dr dre sound like ? have ya got it set up yet ? also you do know that in about 5-6 hours of running your system at high vol the speakers will free up a bit and the sound will change ::) so may need to tweek again. :)

mannnnnnnnn, i just been out for half an hour down the local supermarket so i dont annoy the neighbours :D

u were right - Dre 2001 was the toooon to get it sorted. i have changed everything again now and saved it to the memory function on the head unit. changed the dB curves too so the bass feels cleaner but dirtier if that make senses - doesnt sound lazzzzy which it did before.

then changed tunes, put some LL on and went for a cruise round a few local towns. the bass is like someone hitting the back of my seat with a large sledgehammer. everythings shaking ;D
