beetle dash...

Has anyone taken out the textured part of the new beetle dash (part which airbag sits beside). Do you have to remove the top and centre parts?

I take it the centre part which houses the audio and heater switches needs to get the heave ho!?!

I've never taken the tetures bit off, but there's loads more screws and fixings once you take the centre off - which I guess you've done before cos yours is painted?

I reckon centre out, then top, then textured part.

oooh I bet there's some serious airbag lighting going on when you refit it all LOL

Yeah I imagine that's the way it works. Remember to take the bottom ones off too - above the pedals etc.

Make sure you take the battery out so the airbags don't go off :) and yep - no doubt the light will come on!

lol badboy ;D,you and me both hate all the black , but i've got s##t loads of grey and that sucks it's so dull, i do like the gold and black LV leather but i have to buy sq metre just to look at it and to see if it works ::) but going to have to do it soon 8-),also seen some new wheels - LAS VEGAS 8x18 in chrome with gold bolts/cap defo going for that u.s pimped look when $$$$ to spend 8-), i know people will slag it off :P but i like being different ;) never know U.S look may be the next big think ?then i'd be a trend setter ;)

Do it, lots of people don't like my car, but f**k 'em haha, it's done me alot of favours in the long run. My dad won't be impressed when I say "let's take the dash out for the third time!"

Personally I think the LV interior will look ****ing mental, especially with the hood cover to match - oh pimp styles, how I love them!

:-? thats the first thing i'm thinking of doing -the hood cover 8-) cost about £400 inc leather/vinyl :o but it will be sick,and the wheels you can see them @ wheelwright or motor world web site also in matt black in PVW this months copy ,the wheels are called DOTZ-las vegas,i've wanted them since last year when i bought my bug but they were noy ava :'( so i picked my hamptons. what ya think ? :)

i think it would look very u.s ,putting on u.s style plates would be 8-),i think the wheels look good in the black also but loads done that :'( cos that was my first thought but when i saw the chrome -huma huma :)

chrome / gold will look the bomb with the LV interior and the chrome trim around the body 8-),could you photo shop a pic of bad you have with the wheels and lv int ?, and post to see what peeps think,i think it will be like bovril ;)

8-) thats 1 cool wheel i think , it's got a u.s look about it and it makes a change from most wheel styles that are just copys from other companys, got to be the chrome and gold for my pimp look nb ;D

yeah i wanted the las vegas in chrome when i first seen them 2 they rock, then they brought out the black n i fort it may go betta with my car but i change my mind about rims soooo often. have you seen one in the flesh the 9x18s dish is ****ing hooge

they are a top looking wheel but i also like the new TSW wheels in chrome i dont know the name of them but they look abit like the AUDI A8 rims ?, 19" in chrome would look fat :)

Just looking at the dotz wheel :o they look abit like the old lambo countach wheel :o now thats a idea :) i did see a new golf mk5 that had new lambo wheels on so it may be a good idea to try find some lambo wheels. if i cant have my lotto win motor i could at least have its wheels ;D
