Wing mirror removal...

Does anyone know how to remove the wing mirror plastic that sits on the A Pillars? There's a small circular cover that sits underneath the mirror I haven't looked but I guess that's the bolt for it?

I don't really fancy taking out the inner A pillar covers to remove these unsightly black parts.

Thoughts???

Yeah there's a couple bolts to remove it. You gotta take the pastic bit which goes onto the door off first - open the door and see the screws etc. Not got time to explain more at the mo... might have pics tho - I'll see later.

Ok found some pics. Yours is a later Bug, so I don't know if yours will be the same - this might help tho.

Inside the door you will find these screws - remove them:

That removes the plastic bit, and you'll be left with this:

Look underneath and you'll see 2 allen key bolts - undo these:

Then move the door about till it exposes the 3rd one under the hinge bit.

I think it pulls off then. Might have missed something out cos I took those pics back in March lol.

They must have changed it for the later mirrors/cabs then.
