Cab roof

A while ago we had a problem with the roof of our cab taking 2 goes to go down (story of my life ... ;) ) - anyhow the dealer said it was probably just thick hydraulic oil in the pumps as it only happened very occasionally and always worked 2nd time ...

It has since happened again but I got out to have a look this time and realised that the roof internals seemed to be folding the wrong way and catching on the back headrests stopping it folding back all the way.

Has anybody else had this problem ?

It`s booked in for a safety check on Saturday and I have told them about it but you can guarantee it won`t do it while they have it !

Also got another cab roof problem - the surround around the inside of the rear window pulls away some times. It clips back in again easy enough but then pulls out a few days later.
It`s a known fault said the service chap and they`ll have a look at that as well, just wandered if anyone else had had the same problem ?

I haven't had those problems, but I am having the black rubber seal around the outside of the roof (that goes into the chrome band) replaced as it is fraying.

Funny you should mention the roof interior trim as we noticed last night its all come lose in ours as well, but thats the first time we have noticed it.

Geoff, I`d get your cab booked into those nice people at Heritage ;)
They had ours in this morning for a safety check and apparently it`s a known fault that the trim around the inside of the rear window pulls away - they reseat it using spring clips now instead of just pushing it in.
I`ve had the roof up and down a few times today and they all seem to be holding up so far.

BTW, had a look at the new Eos while I was there, very nice ! :o
