uh oh i've made a boo boo!!!

i bought some turtle wax bug and tar remover from halfords as theres stuff welded to my windscreen.
thought i'd spray it on the windscreen and some other areas on the car where the nasty bugs won't go.
it won't wipe off the paintwork or glass properly and has stained my black plastic bits with white.
i've tried washing with water and still won't come off!! HELP! :o

it says it contains petroleum distallates.

anyone got any ideas what may help??

Have you used car shampoo? Is there a number on the bottle to call?

not tried shampoo yet, gonna get a bite to eat then have a go.
no number to call, just an address, in case you need assistance in about 3 days!!!
