don't like em, but i am very fussy about wheels...................
i'd keep it oe and go for either audi a8 winter wheels 19"
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y116/jonboy72/winter-1.jpg
or 19" phaeton 'helios' wheels
8½ J by 19, offset depth 45

as the mark 5 golf is 5 x 112 there is sooo many amazing oe audi and vw wheels that fit straight on
i was going to buy some helios wheels from a contact in germany but once i had used adaptors to put them on the bug they would have been too wide
i think those tsw wheels look a bit cheap and fussy, go for some classy oe wheels will make your car look perfect!

What do you think?
I like em Chris, but when it comes to replicas it can be a minefield when it comes to quality!

I know one of the dealers local to me has a spare set of OE '14 spoke' alloys - option on certain A4 models - BBS made wheel, only 18" though - but Multispoke OE wheel could look good.

8-) the phaeton wheels look mint 8-) only thing with them being oem that lots of people will end up with them ?,not a problem for you maybe ?but i would be pissed if i spent loads of money on my motor went to a show and 30 others at a show had the same wheels :'(, dont get me wrong i think alot of the motors you see with the OEM look mint 8-),but it would make me sick spending money on my motor and it's just the same as all the rest, in the early years of modding dubs (air cooled) the parts for dubs were not available off the shelf so you had to use your head and come up with things 8-) to make you motor stand out 8-), i think these days have gone :'( which is a real shame because you no when you go to a show what all the cars are going to look like (very nice but all alike).I remember each month i couldn't wait to get a mag or go to a show to see what was new :),but now :-/ ::) .
all good points well made bad cab :) and i agree! i just think there is run of the mill oem i.e. RS4 A8 reps etc etc............. and then there is oem which you have to search for abroad and make a real effort to get them on your car

:) your right about the hard to find stuff but there no antique's ;D(less than 10yrs old at most) it's not like trying to find a 40yr old speedwell s/wheel or gen BRM.Maybe in 20yrs time i would think it's very cool but i just think that most people are playing it too safe (dont want people to slag their motor off).I think the OEM thing has been done before it's time and too many peeps are taking the easy modding road. each to there own :)
well i think the new beetle is now getting to a second hand price where colour changes and body mods are gonna take off! so lets see what happens :) supercharged r32 engine transplant with nimbus grey bodywork perhaps and recaro seats with a tartan insert :)?
