19's or 20's ??

im thinking of installing Black 19's or 20's on my bug, whats the best width to go for on a Rsi kit? my stock wheels are 18x8.5 all around, and any suggestions on which wheel to go for?deep dish style? i was thinking of porsche gemballa wheels or the new tech art wheels...what do u think? and what kinda tire?

I'd go for 19s out of the 2..... personally I prefer 18s, but you didn't put that as an option ;) lol

anyways we r going off topic here...so anyone out there know whats the max width for the beetle?

according to the 'bible' 9x19 is the biggest you can put on with an offset of 30 to 40 and tyres 255/30/19, HOWEVER we all no that 20s fit (stupid book wake up and get with the times). Anyway with the rsi i believe this must be as wide as any beetle with a projectzwo kit therefore will comfortably fit 10" wide. however if you was to go with 20" i personally wouldnt go wider then 9".

And obviously if you do want to go fairly wide, only do so on the rear as you may need to cut the arch back on the front so you dont rub on full lock, Staggard is the way forward people!

Also check out 'myblackbeetle' on here they have the rsi/cup kit and are running 20" and lowered and it does look the absolute dogs danglys, im jus not sure how wide theirs are, i think they may be 9s.

yeah dont think they on here, but they have 20" BBS RS-GT 8.5" / 9.5" wheels with 245/30x20 Continental tyres - with Audi 5 x 112 PCD

8-) love them wheels there all cool but the 3rd one's down i love,they would look so fat in 18" on my cab what or where can i get them :)please tell :D,also if your going to drag your bug big rims will kill your times :-? but it will look cool doing it ;D

i will be dragging the bug to check my times on my stock 18 oz wheels/ nitto 555r street tires
