I'm finally going to buy one next week, mainly to make a feature of it in the cabby and control through the touch screen, oh and for the trains.

I was thinking of buying a 30 gig video pod, think they are about £180.

Any pro's and cons? I've heard windows 2000 isn't compatible with the latest I tunes, I run an older one on my windows 2000 - will my new ipod be able to work with the older I tunes?

I'm not worried about video uploading etc. :o ::)

I've got a 30gig Video iPod and thats more than enough space for me. Apple have announced an 80gig though!

I want to fit my ipod in the bug. Apart from paying VW £150 to fit in a cable to make this work.....is there any other way? I don't really want to buy one of those cassette tape things either.

Is there a cable I can buy and a way of fitting it to the stereo?

get a dension ice link plus - they are about £100 and can be fitted by yourself in 10mins - halfords sell them but no doubt charge more than most other places

basically you can control the ipod thru the bugs headunit and mount the ipod in the cradle on the dash or dash handle :)

Sounds good to me, I will take a look around and see if I can pick up on of those. I'm guessing that when the ipod is plugged in via the ice link plus cable it will not take out the cd changer?

I will definitely order one though, not that I want to hide my iPod but I wanted to fit it into the glove box if you can get full control via the head unit.

yeah basically it plugs in where the cd autochanger plugs in on the back of the head unit. so its 1 or the other :D
