I'm sure I saw a thread on this but for the life of me I can't find it!
I haven't checked my pressures since i got my car (couple of months, bad girl!!) and wanted to do it.
my pressures on the inside of my petrol cap are in bar but my tyre pumper upper has PSI (yes i'm rubbish but i'm trying!!).
what tyre pressure does eveyone use in psi (or does anyone have a link to a conversion chart?!!).

thanks for your help!!

nah u can go higher than that but i dont - i find its just right. same all round too. see i dont usually carry heavy loads or more than 1 person round so i dont worry about it too much :)

with the 16's I used to run 29/30psi (which are the size of your tyres)

with 20's it's 42 psi!

What should the pressures be on 18's?

Depends on the profile, but I reckon around 30psi - whatever you feel comfortable with.

I thought the pressure was the same no matter what tyres? Cos it's not the amount of air you put in, it's the pressure that the tyre is at??

NO!

Hi,
In case it helps 1 bar = 14.5038 PSI

so to get PSI from Bar then multiply by 14.5038

Therefore;
2.3 Bar = 33.35 Psi

Toyo do em in that size I think. Very Euro look. Seen em on some German bugs. Nice.

in fact... from blackcircles:

Falken GRB FK 452 (Extra Load) 215/40 R18 Y £91.46
Yokohama Parada Spec 2 215/40 R18 W £150.14

We got Kumho`s as a deal with the 18`s, which I thought were the cheapest of the cheap - until I was stood in the dealers the other day and noticed they are standard fit on Polo`s !
