After 3 years of driving round with german plates [ i admit only on weekends and dry days] i was nobbled by a copper yesterday, I lied and said id been to a car show he told me he had a 67 called the bishop with twin carbs!!! Said he would "see me around." Wicked!! Taken them off now though as ive been taking the pi** with the cop shop only round the corner ;D

Hahaha that's brilliant - good going!! ;D Ian better watch out with his no front plate scenerio then!! Mind you, the amount of policemen we've driven past is unbelievable :o

He only sussed me cos he pulled up on a bike and couldnt work out the tax disc and the german reg, your chap had better be careful being a welshy like me i was pulled in cardiff!!!

so far no problemo here

my favourite excuse "sorry officer my husband borrowed the car for a VW meet the weekend and I haven't had time to change the plates back yet because im a girl" ;D

No probs with ours so far either - although my dad did ask why there was a "D" on the number plate at the weekend ;D
I`ve got the standard plates in the boot with sticky pads on them ready just in case though ;)

i followed a german merc into work today, and aside from him driving on the LHS of the car, same :)

mine coming off tonite for bug hospital tomorrow :)

;D i've had some funny looks in the polo , i've seen people point at the plates in the rear view and pull a face ;D i'm just waiting to see how long it will be before some d##k kicks the car ::)

Oooh I could probably get away with these! Except for the fact they wouldn't fit my rear bumper :(

What are they going to make of our German plates in Germany ? ;D

I assume we`ll need GB stickers as we`ve got a "D" where there should be a "GB" ;D
