my new project polo

My bloke recently acquired this 1996, 1.4 8v, Polo SE 5dr. he paid £250 for it with no Tax or Test. It had a minor accident on the back N/S/R door and a bit onto the back arch.

We had bought it with selling it straight on in mind, but after he did a VAG com diagnostics check we decided keeping it might not be such a bad idea... The car has been stood for the best part of 18 months, and when he dialled in to do the check there were no fault codes showing - well impressed! the car runs sweet as a nut.

Its high mileaged at 125,000 but after a quick call to the supplying dealer (phone number on a sticker in the rear window!) it turns out that the car has a full service history and a duplicate service schedule book will be arriving shortly. We then *got the car upon the ramps and the underneath looks tip top too, all the bushes, break lines, fuel lines e.t.c are in tip top condition...

All he's awaiting now is an MOT and a service and this bad boy will be back on the road.

Anyway, enough of the waffling, future plans are a healthy slam and a decent set of rims!

It's an SE which means it was facotry fitted with the 16v bumpers and interior - so if you do decide enough is enough you could probably break it and sell those parts for more than you paid for the car!
