Hi there!
Just wonder what gains you can give my 04 1.8T bug? Not sure what the engine code is  . It has a few extras on it, K&N induction kit, Forge Split-R Dump valve, sports cat back exhaust system. (nothing major) :D
Thanks

See John@DNA on here, the guys a wizard!
In short, my 1.8T bug was slow and lazy until I visited John, now its a totally different ball game.
You probably have an AWU motor, but the sticker on the boot floor will tell you your engine code.

Mine went from 159 to 221bhp just with a map and that was before the other stuff done to it.

it eats most things. its around bmw 330i territory/boxster s territory. m3s are still a little ahead. i never try scoobies/evos as no idea what they are running from car to car.

S8 - Beast! Remap with LPG :P
Economy must be a kick in the d*ck considering your going from the Mk4 TDi to that :P Didnt you have a 2.8 A8 once?
John@DNA
17th July 2010, 10:11
No the 2.8 was an A6 and the old mans. S8 fuel economy is not good, averaging about 14mpg at the moment! Only a 7 mile trip into work though so not too bad... But it's a hell of a trip, 4.2 V8 always sounds awesome, it's in for a full service, new brakes, tyres, wheel refurb, full exhaust, then I'll finish it off with a detail this week, then I'll have to put some pics up.
