Hey Kate thanks for posting those articles. I too like the light blue... Not sure about the squared off wings tho. I like the fuller curves of the older new beetles. :-)

i don't think this is such a bad thing

look how many millions of old beetles they made and they are still collectible

the NB only had a life span of 10-11 years so they should be more rare with age

Its only the final edition of this model, VW have been quoted in VW driver magazine as saying that the new bug will come out in 2011 or 2012!:)

Its the final edition of the current shape NB, VW released details of this before Xmas, and its only going on sale in the US, I dont think we will get a final edition car. Afaik its difficult to order a brand new bug now as well.

VW have said they will release something 'Beetleish' in 2011/12, they haven't said how much it will look like a Beetle, which makes me think theres a chance (with cars like the Scirocco out now) they might not release it at all.

Personally I dont think it will look anything like a Beetle anymore, which will make our NB's even more collectable in the future, and means its unlikely I'd buy the 2012 bug if it looks like I think its going to.
