Just messing around on Elsawin and found this. I remember a while back somebody asking about creaking front leather seats. This could be the answer. It appears VW know about this and a lot of other minor complaints.
Technical solution
Problem description
Clacking noises on the seat frame of the Easy Entry seat.
The noises occur when pressure is put on the side of the seats, for example when sitting down, standing up or when the car goes round a bend.
Cause
Cap on the Easy Entry unlocking missing.
Production solution
Constant checks and instructions to assembly workers.
Service solution
Visual check:
• Unlock and fold down the backrest.
• If the plastic cap (A) on the Easy Entry unlocking (B) (on the side of the seat) is missing, a new cap must be fitted (clicked on).
