Convoy start point Basingstoke

Fancy meeting at Tesco's Chineham in Basingstoke(A33) RG24 8BE for a convoy to The Big Bug Bash in Reading?
Same as last year in main carpark just after petrol station:) at 10:30-10:45

I join the A33 just before the M4 (by the Wellington Country Park where Bug Boogie was), so I'll hang around in one of the lay-bys on the dual carriageway just before Reading... give me a beep as you pass and I'll catch up with you guys.

thanks black sheep but i'l have a go, i get panicky if i get lost and i'll have lou bug with me too so i can't lead her astray, is there no earlier meeting point? i know how to get to basingstoke, oh bum i'll have a go on this multi map thing then.. can i not meet you at hindhead or the junction off that facing 287 your way? or alton if that's easier?

are we meeting earlier this year then? last year i'm sure it was about 12!

hey black sheep, biggie is saying we could meet at compton on a3, and nef has given us a route? do we still come and get you at that tesco place or you want to meet at compton too as that's near you isn't it?

i don't know where he thinks to meet yet i'll have to ring him i think.. i'm gettnig panicky cos it's not sorted and i dont' want to get lost.. :(

Compton is near blacksheep but the opposite direction to Reading from Farnborough!

RIGHT, all sorted, as i've got to go to bike meeting first thing in steyning, so i'm over that way... i'm meeting Lou bug at petworth house and will come along to meet her at petworth house. at 10.20... on the A272.

incase anyone else joins on enroute.... then we'll go up the A283 to compton off the a3 by 11 to meet biggie and black sheep... anyone we see on route.. please join in.....

Multimap suggested the blue route, but I suggested taking the red route through Borden and past Birdworld, but think Biggle was coming down the A3, which why they are meeting at Compton (isn't that a rough suburb of LA? :confused: )... number 9 on the map. When you come off the A3, it takes you onto the A31 Hogsback, about a mile down the A31 is a rest area/cafe/layby/local dogging spot, I'd suggest stopping there as it isn't off the route and you have to pass it.

The lime green was the route I *was* going to take but the Minley road is closed for roadworks until Monday so I'll be going through Hartley Wintney instead.
