Ok, so it's pretty much the same as pre 06, but I thought it might help still... and tbh it's actually easier to get them back in nicely on the new shape rear lights.
Right - I started off by wanting to change the indicator bulbs to chrome ones, to get rid of the orange:

To create this - much cleaner:

First start off by removing the circular disk in the boot behind the lights. I did this on the driver's side (RHD).

Then you need to untwist the knob you find inside:

Then you need to use flat head screwdrivers (with a cloth wrapped round them to protect the paint) to lever the light out - do this on the side closest to the no plate (same applies for the other side). You need to lever it till it makes a worrying crack noise - this is the clips coming free, so don't worry.

To remove the bulb holder, just twist:

Replace the bulb with a shiny chrome one (see ebay, 581 offset for 06 on and 382 opposite for pre 06), then you can put the light back in. Make sure the bolt thread goes through the hole in the back, then line the tabs up with those in the body, and press it back in, making sure the rubber seal doesn't get out of place:

And there you have your shiny chrome bulb:

Which still flashes orange:
