Well John said he had made some more developments to his TDI maps so I went down to see him with Sue's Bug. TBH I wasn't expecting to notice much difference as he transformed it beyond belief from standard, but OMG its been transformed yet again. It pulls a whole lot more and the torque is even more prominent. He reckons its now must be pushing out 145BHP which I can totally believe!
Thanks John, you have made Sue very happy!

Sounds interesting!

What is the cost of such a thing? Does it make any difference if the car already has the previous DNA map?

I suspect that I'll be booking in soon :)

It's more of a track/ 1/4 mile/ fast road map, I'm looking into a way so you can cheaply switch between this and the stage 1 remap, the different stages will be available on the www.chiptunawarehouse.com website, I'll be looking to do various other files like super economy etc and offer them to buy as a pack.

You could do that with the Alientech Powergate S unit, you can buy that already on the Chiptunawarehouse.com website, it is sold elsewhere by other tuners claiming they'd made it themselves bless 'em, your mate the ducky for one.

The last thing I said to him included the words tosser, cheat, scamming lol.
If you want a switchable unit we're just placing an order with Alientech, shall I put you down for one?

Yeah ME9 needs a CAN controller so these units ain't cheap, the older ME7, EDC15 stuff works in K-Line so we're expecting a unit to retail for under a ton on those

I did a Sharan 1.9TDI 110bhp last month with the super economy version and he saved 11mpg! He was an airport taxi driver, must be saving him a mint!

Shame there isn't something that can switch the 2.0i engine for a decent one that's actually willing to rev, makes some power, doesn't drink oil and does over 35mpg!! ;) :)
