I wasn't really planning on vehicle number five, but this became available locally. I've known about the car for years, and it hasn't run at all since 1991. Unbelievably it was put away in full running condition with a full MOT!
Not really the prettiest aircooled Volkswagen around, but rare enough to be of interest and it definately needs to be roadworthy again.

Cool not seen many Type 4s about. It's good to see there's the odd one left in good condition!

Its an unusual Dub and could be a real head turner in the right condition.
I agree with Axl Foley definately needs to be slammed. I like it :)

Well it hasn't been started for 17 years, so I expect lots of swapping of tyres, brake hoses and pipe-work and other rubber components definitely the fuel pipes, plus flushing and changing of vital fluids, then hopefully a fresh fuel and a battery may start it!
It WILL remain as standard as possible with the horribly tacky but period stickers left intact - however, I may lower it and put some period rims on it, but that is it as far as any mods are concerned :)
I'm just looking forward to getting it to run at the moment.

Thats cool as fook, cannot remember the last time I seen one that wasn't at a show!
Whats the deal with the front wing tho, looks like it has a massive wrap around indicator, a reflector and a side repeater within inches of each other.
Nice find.
