View Full Version : What options do we have?

Ok, we have these..... venom alloys (insert vomiting smiley here)..... that were on the gti when we bought it...It is lowered all round... The wheels are 15's but the back wheel arches scrub the tyres (which are pretty low profile anyway) so I suppose we'd have to go to 13 or 14?

We have a set of 13" steelies that may well get powdercoated and used because the gti doesn't seem to handle well with the venoms on at all... just wondered what options we have?

All I know about measurements are:

they are 4 stud and I would need 4x100's...

Don't think 13's will fit diva

Grab some 14" standard GTi steels cheap as chips and cool looking to boot :)

I have the standard mk1 steelies, they're 13", going to be powdercoated black and have the rims done in white... should look ok until we can afford some bling lol... just wondered what other options were out there

Thanks for looking for me... how much do you want for the 14's? will put up a post on our local site (fendubbers) if you're trying to get rid.

I'd have gone with some 15 inch lensos, not sure what they are called but they look like the BBS wheels and are a lot cheaper!

I would have loved them too, but I have 15's on right now and the arches scrub real bad on the tyres (which are already the lowest profile we can get away with) so we thought we'd kill 2 birds so to speak and go for retro styling with a smaller wheel and try to lessen the scrubbing a little. Will have to see what happens... Mr Diva is picking them up this week, but we won't get to do anything with them until the weekend - will post some piccies up when they're on ;)

Yeah lensos are cool they are called 'BSX' but if its issues with rubbing then lik uve done 14s are a better move. Or go real euro with a nice stretched tyre like 175/50/15 heehe

Is this possible?

Golf wheels are 4 x 100... old beetle wheels are 4 x 130

Are there adaptors available on the market? ;)
