Hey Charlie,

Well, curtesy of your other half apparently having a filty car on the MKIV board, he's got a prize on the way which will help :D

Serious Performance Paint Cleanser, Serious Performance Polymer Super Sealant, app's and a couple of cloths. Pinch those and get cleansing.... Then get a couple of coats of sealant on there, should look very wet on the yellow.

If you specifically want a wax as your top layer, go for either the Dodo Juice Orange Crush soft wax or the Banana Armour Hard Wax. Will give a really nice warm, wet look to the paint, and give great protection especially with the sealant underneath.
If you want a great wax without the cost of the Dodo Juice, go for the new Finish Kare 2865 Pink Wax... The amount you get for the money is awesome alone, let alone the finish.... One of my faves at the mo :).

Hope that helps. Any other questions, feel free to give me a shout or leave me a message and I'll buzz you back.

Cheers.
Alex.

tee hee nice one Alex I will try and abscond with some of his toys. A nice wet look finish is what I am trying to achieve by using some layers of sealant prior to the final wax coat. Have been reading some write ups on the Finnish kare stuff and may well give it a try for ultimate dubs. I shall visit your website now and purchase :)

As awlays thanks for your help and advice and the prizes from the mkiv forum made his day :)

You'll get a great wet finish shine from the SP Cleanser and Sealant.... I'm still really happy with the way my stuff has turned out.
This is still one of my fave pics using SP Cleanser and Sealant:

You won't be disappointed with the Finish Kare products... I've been working VERY hard over a year now to get them to agree to allow me to be the UK supplier, and it will definately be worth the hassle.

The Pink Wax works really well.... Easy on and off and a really nice finish. I'm a big fan of the 1000P Hi-Temp Sealant, and I'll probably make that my 'show' wax for the coming season..... Heres mine with 2 coats of 1000P:

Ray - The bottles are 500ml. Good for around 35 - 50 applications depending on how heavy handed you are :).

Charlie - Let me know how you get on and get some pics! (of the car!!!! :D).

Graham - Thats JDM! Nah, not really... Although it's a clear indicator and bulb, the backing reflector is the orange bit. I wanted the Nismo jobbies so a little orange will have to stay.

Cheers :).
