Wow! That looks good stuff! They look like new!
If you ever wanna change the bumpers, get stainless - rust is no longer an issue then! :D

Wow that stuff looks great and obviously worth every penny as Ernie looks ultra shiny now. Love the front fog light too, we have just fitted some to our 66 that we imported from america and they look so cool :D

Stainless would be nice evo has them but I know how much they are from the manufacturer so i'm reluctant to part with my cash from the VW motor factors who up the price by £200  (nothing against anyone in particular it sucks to know how much stuff is wholesale)
Might splash at some point tho saves changing bumpers every year, they'd soon pay for themselves

My Stainless bumpers were £300 for the pair from VW Heritage, not sure of the mark-up on them, but they are good quality, and a year on no rust :D Saying that when does Harry ever go out to get Rusty!

We aren't buying anything from heritage unless we have to.....they have not been very impressive :(
If I want anything from heritage I will get it through evo as they deliver to him most days (and delivery is free  )
Think if we get the bumpers they will come from the same place as the interior
Yeah I think if Harry got rusty you would have to be very concerned, I imagine him tucked up at night with a blanket and slippers

That's ace!
Bling Ernie! :D
Get some WD40 on them over the winter - it helps keep the water off them.

Some one on vzi said that too, will duck oil be the same, ain't got any WD? :)
Shamrockez

Yeah any oil will do - just to stop the water sitting on it :) Then when the weather gets better, wash it off with soapy water (not washing up liquid - car wash) and give it another polish to bring the shine up.

the bumpers look great. As the others have said, a thin film of oil will really help stop the rust breaking through in the winter.
