Another web address?

A few years ago, I used to design and sell websites, so am I still right in thinking that the more web addresses that point to a website the better, or has it changed now? When I was doing it, the more links going in and out were a good thing, is this still right?

Anyway, I had a thought earlier today.... It's only a suggestion, so don't shout at me if you don't like it... here goes... :o

How about another address for Evvo that directs to the current home page (as well as evvo.co.uk) - one that reflects the aircooled side that's rapidly growing alongside our newbee population? Lots of the members have aircooled rides, and there is a specific section that's going really well...

I was thinking about Evvo Aircooled... at the moment the web address "www.evvoaircooled.co.uk" is not registered by anyone... it's not expensive, and I for one wouldn't mind chucking few £ into the "pot" as a donation to help buy it...

What do you think? :confused:

I'm guessing your think of having www.evvoaircooled.co.uk (http://www.evvoaircooled.co.uk) as a link which takes you directly into the aircooled section of the evvo forum :confused:

Although if it was to host forum software on that specific site name just for say an aircooled forum then that would add more pressure on the moderators and the administrators. But i've a feeling this isn't the case and you just want a link from www.evvoaircooled.co.uk (http://www.evvoaircooled.co.uk) to the evvo aircooled forum :)

Good idea then IMHO although it always comes down to cost and whether the aircooled fans would all be willing to pay for that link.

As from another point of view if you google - evvo aircooled you have links to evvo anyway :o As seen in the pic below

Edit: I would be willing to donate to the new link, if you wanted. Anything to get evvo out there to the masses is a good thing ;) :ghug:

The idea is that it's not just for the aircooled community on here - there is no need to separate the aircooled division from the rest of evvo... we are a forum as a whole, not two different identities.

Yes, i must of misread that bit, about going to the evvo home page, and not direct to the aircooled bit. Sorry
