Harry would look SO cool lowered Luke - and there's plenty of us around with lowered bugs that would be more than happy to offer you advise! :)

p.s. love the sun visor, too

Would it not spoil him a bit tho? Would he not go from being a very nice stocker to just another lowered bug?

I do like the look I've done there, but I dunno if it would make him Un-harry like

I say go for it....

My argument would be whats wrong with "Just another lowered bug"? Surely modifications done to a car are done by an individual making it an expression of what you personally like, not what the masses have dictated. Hence is there really such thing as "Just another lowered bug"? Cool is subjective and a matter of opinion, but its no crime for lots of people to share a similar opinion.

What you mocked up there appeals to me more than other people visions. I like the low look but on the stock looking retro wheels. Whatever you decide you should get whitewalls on the corners anyway.

Luke - what I've done with Bella is to make sure that none or her mods are permanent - so I can put her back to stock in a couple of hours if I so wished.

Exactly, take our '59 for example... it's rat-ride - personally we love it, others appreciate it for what it is - a ratty 59 daily driver - and others don't like the rust and tell us to paint it...

whatever you do to your bug, it will be an individual thing - and stock whitewalls will look so cool on a lowered bug. Like Lucy says, do stuff that you can put back to stock if/when you sell Harry - keep anything you take off so you can put it back on.

Do mods subtly and have a few individual ideas that others haven't done... that way Harry will be remembered as a "one-off" not "just another lowered bug"

just remember - don't buy a deep sump - you'll be forever taking off the bolts on speed bumps and having monster oil leaks! lol

Lower it a bit but not too much. I'm not a big fan of massively narrowed front beams.

Maximum chromage would work :D

Bugs which are low but otherwise stock can look spot on:
