Center Console..

Does anybody know if there's ever been a center console available for the old beetle??

The one that would run down the middle of the two front seats incorporating the gear stick, handbrake and heater leavers..

Any help would be grateful.. either that or i'll have to make it myself Blugg Stylee..

I know there's lots of weird and wonderful aftermarket ones. They range from looking like a mini shopping basket that rests on the centre tunnel, to a chavtastic plastic fantastic creation in mdf and vinyl. If I were you, I'd make one, cos personally I've never found a prefab one that I like.
Having said that, I've been out of the aircooled scene for a while, so maybe there's better ones now so let us know what you find :)

You can get the chrome style basket one from places like Cool Air and the plastic one was mae by kamei.

they don't look too bad.. i want one that goes down the center of the car and incorporates the hand brake too..

Didn't they do something for the 1302/1303's?

Or you could get an early Polo/Golf one ant maybe adapt it to fit?
